What Qantiva sends to us: the licence, nothing else
- When you activate a PC: your e-mail, the PC's name, its Windows and Qantiva versions, and the public half of a key the PC creates.
- Once a day while online: a renewal signed with that key, with Qantiva's version. A PC that has not renewed for 14 days stops until it reconnects.
- Our service records the IP address a PC activated from and last renewed from.
- The update check reads the current version from downloads.qantiva.ai. It sends nothing about you.
No price, quote, curve, position or trade is part of any of these.
A licence that cannot be copied
Where your PC has a TPM security chip (every Windows 11 PC does), the licence key is made inside it and can never be read out of it. A copied data folder, or a cloned PC, does not carry a working licence.
Bloomberg
Qantiva reads market data from your firm's own Bloomberg Terminal through Bloomberg's desktop API, under your firm's Bloomberg agreement. It does not resell or redistribute Bloomberg data. It also reads public rates published by the New York Fed, the ECB, the Bank of England, the Bank of Canada and the US Treasury; those requests carry only the series and the dates asked for.
AI assistants, on your own account
Qantiva works without an AI assistant. If you connect one, there are two ways:
- In the app, with your firm's own key and the model you choose: Anthropic's Claude, any model on OpenRouter, or an open-weight model your firm hosts itself behind an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. The key is stored on your PC, encrypted for your Windows user, and goes only to the provider or endpoint you name.
- From your own Claude Desktop, Claude Code or another AI client that supports MCP, connected to Qantiva on the same PC.
Either way, what you ask, and the results Qantiva returns to the assistant (which can include prices and analytics), go to the AI provider you chose under your firm's agreement with it, or stay inside your firm when it hosts its own model. They never pass through our servers.
Support, only when you choose
When you need help, Qantiva can save a support bundle: a zip file on your PC with the app's logs and the market data your session priced on. Saving it sends nothing. Your Bloomberg agreement decides whether you may share it with us; you decide, and you send it yourself by e-mail.
Your account
Your account, your licence and your billing records are kept on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Ireland), each organization apart from every other. The privacy notice lists everything we keep.
